Back to the basics. The basics of UX that is. We’ll define User Experience and talk about the role of a UX designer. We’ll also look at the UX design process and the different stages of a project.
UX starts with the user. In week 2 you’ll learn how you to uncover user insights with research techniques like interviews, surveys, analytics and more. You’ll also learn how to share your findings with user personas.
You’ll learn how to structure content on your website/app so that it’s super easy for users to find what they’re looking for. A few of the tools/techniques we'll look at include task flows, user journeys and card sorting.
Designing your product is only half the battle. The other half is making sure it meets the user's needs with usability testing. In week 5 you'll learn how to validate your designs with real users so that you can flag major issues.
