Following the Figma tutorial on designing Wireframes, I received a lot of requests to film a tutorial on building interactive prototypes in Figma. So I did it. The tutorial below covers the basics of prototyping in Figma with a practical example and some useful tips for getting started.

It’s insanely easy. You can create seamless interactive prototypes in seconds. And most importantly, you don’t have to export your designs to a separate prototyping tool. Everything stays in Figma. Your designs, your prototype, feedback, updates, you name it…
If you’re still not convinced, Figma even offers advanced animation features for your prototypes. Smart Animate is magical. Animations are known to be cumbersome, but Figma made it a whole lot easier. I briefly touch on this in the tutorial above and at some point I’ll make another that’s solely focused on Animation.
The tutorial above is part of the Butter Academy Online UX Design Course. In addition to Prototyping, the course covers the entire UX Design process including: research, design, testing and delivery. If you’re interested in learning more about the course, you can tap on the link above or below.
